Why and What?
Our Vision - To empower women with the skills to be independent, in all aspects of their life.

Good Measure Foundation, founded in December 2020, is an organisation that supports women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, women who are differently abled & trans-people to attain economic independence. 

Especially victims of gender based violence, economic abuse, poverty and patriarchy. Our aim is to develop their confidence and make them independent by equipping them with skills which foster employability and entrepreneurship. 

 

Social Enterprise Model 

In order to maximise our impact, we have built a structure of charity and businesses, which are interlinked in several ways.

Good Measure Foundation is a registered organization under the Indian Trust Act 1882, which provides skill training.  Good Measure the food brand (under the legal entity Grapevine) is engaged in making products, the revenue from which directly support the foundation.

The model:
Step 1
A woman is referred to Good Measure Foundation.  

Step 2
After the preliminary interview, she is enrolled into the training program.

Step 3
She undergoes a formal training in

  • Basics of Baking
  • Entrepreneurship skills
  • Soft Skills
  • Building Confidence and Emotional Well-being

Step 4
2 Months internship at our Bakery or an affiliate Bakery.

Step 5
Placement

Course Overview


 Basics of Baking: This course is a study of the fundamentals of baking including the making of dough, quick breads, cakes, cookies, tarts and the other basic items made in a bakery. Topics include baking terminology, tools and equipment use, formula conversions, functions of ingredients, and the use of proper flours

Financial Literacy: This course is a study of the fundamentals of handling personal finances, calculating food cost and cost of equipment.

Digital Literacy: This course is designed to provide students with entry-level experience with practical applications through hands-on use of MS Word, and Excel.

Etiquette and Grooming: This course is designed to help students get an understanding of the importance of personal hygiene, grooming, and interview skills.

Emotional Well-being: This intervention is aimed at working with character traits such as zest, curiosity, grit, optimism and support them in feeling confident about themselves.
