Aaditya started his journey with Good Measure Foundation in June 2022. Before this he finished his NIOS 12th. We as Aaditya’s parents were not sure what future holds for him. Through a friend and special educator., we came across Good Measure Foundation. She asked us to meet Madhu Mam. When we met her, she readily agreed to have Aaditya on board and join their centre, even when Aaditya was the 1st and only boy to join their centre. It was a smooth journey for Aaditya during the period of June to September 2022 where he got exposed to the various processes in Baking and tried his hands on making various bakery products. He was also asked to repeat the course for better understanding and practical knowledge. All the staff, including Madhu and Vinita Mam were very supportive and understanding towards Aaditya and it felt like a homely environment for him, where he was learning without any fear or stress. During this period, myself his mother was also allowed to be with Aaditya so that he at any moment does not feel left out. It was a very kind gesture from the management. After his completion of the course, he was given an internship at Cakewalk, JP Nagar branch. Where he learnt a lot about cake decoration. He worked there from October 2022 to February 2023. After taking a break for a month, Good Measure Foundation, helped with the opportunity to intern with ALoft, at ORR, a Marriott group of hotels. He has been working at ALoft and evolved as a better human being. He has been working with neurotypical people and adjusting well with them. Never did we imagined that Aaditya will be able to manage himself all alone in such a big organisation. All thanks to Good Measure Foundation, which gave him an opportunity to join the centre, learn and evolve as a matured and march towards becoming an independent human being.
